Rest, warmth, if you can afford it see a chiropractor.

sunnyshine · 03/08/2009 08:04

mine stayed for a week then went as quickly as it came! nothing really worked but good excuse for massage!

No chance of rest as DH has had to go into work to see if he has a job.

Paracetomol might have to do.

Thank you.

Alternate hot and cold compresses should help the pain.

MmeLindt · 03/08/2009 08:34

I second a chiropractor if you can.

Hope your DH still has a job, sounds scary.

FabBakerGirlIsBack · 03/08/2009 10:38

No news from DH yet.

The best thing for this is those giant plaster that you stick on your neck and they heat up. Also take ibuprofen and buy some arnica gel which is great for pain relief

Make sure you buy the ones that can be stuck on the skin - one make is only to be put on clothing and is useless

deepbreath · 03/08/2009 14:44

Deep Heat works well on this, if you can stand the smell!

Hope you feel better soon.

I am waiting for DH to come home and put some on for me, will be about 2 more hours.
