Breast leaking, not pregnant.. getting worried

Last night got up to use the loo and noticed a wet patch near breast which was size of 10p, was surprised to see that i was leaking clear/milky discharge from breast.

Had DD a year and half ago, haven't breast fed for a year or so, and definately not pregnant. I am slightly concerned, as boobs have been hurting a bit on and off but i put it down to a too tight bra, and recently switched to a non wire to see if it eased, which it has.

What could be causing it?
I don't really want to see Gp yet as only happened once, should i be worried?

I do have pcos, and i know my hormones are all over the place as i frequently want to burst into tears at silly things.. anyone have any experience of this?

Really, it's far better to see your gp about any changes. There is no point in worrying until at least you know what's going on! There really is no point in sitting around speculating. It is always more worrying!

Would also urge you to visit your GP; this problem can be caused by hormonal changes. Don't put up with it even though its only happened once. If an excess of prolactin hormone is being produced then there can be leakage; it can be treated with tablets.

thankyou plonketyplonk and Attila, will try and see Gp tomorrow. Will have to stop googling my symptoms as it just worries me even more.
