Anyone who has/ had swine flu for real, do you know who you caught it from?

And when?
My friend sent me an email this morning - the Head of her DS's school has gone off with swine flu, and today my friend has sore throat and headache, and I saw her yesterday to give her a massage treatment.

Soo - how likely is it that I could catch swine flu off her, given that she has it herself, and when will I notice if I have caught it?

No, I haven't a clue

I have had it for two weeks now from onset of first symptoms

I am on antibiotics for secondary chest infection and still feeling pretty rotten

am hoping to be back at work on Thursday

NO idea who I caught it from - but I work in a nursery school so it really could have come from anyone

I think it's beyond the point of traceability now tbh, it's everywhere

My dh hasn't caught it - ds1 had very mild symptoms, ds2 and I were completely obliterated by it

dh thinks he has natural immunity through his lineage of Irish pig farmers

thank you!

Manchesvertes · 14/07/2009 23:26

...and I hope you don't get it at all!

thumbwitch · 14/07/2009 23:26

I guess it depends on what they did with the pigs and how closely interlinked that lineage is, hey!

I keep telling him he is 1/16th porcine

a theorem amply borne out by his breakfast habits

Have NO idea.

DD1 fell ill first.

This is a rural area and other than 2.5 hours at nursery, the only other contact she had in the community was at a small Co-Op every now and again.

And hers was the only confirmed case in her nursery.

We all fell ill one by one after she did.
