Proberly mossies, i got bitten on my leg last weekend, god alone knows what it was but it swelled about the size of a tea plate was very red, very hot and has left a black scab/hole in the middle.

MadreInglese · 14/07/2009 13:44

they could still have fleas cadging a ride on their hair, they just can't breed

we regularly frontline our cats but our long haired one always has a stowaway flea or two

Does it happen overnight? If so, may well be bed bugs. Your local council probably treat them for free - we had this and I was bitten every night for a month or so (felt like gnat bites). Council said probably wasn't bed bugs but they sprasyed the room for free anyway and after 2 or 3 days it was fine and I haven' tbeen bitten since. There are loads of biting insects that it could've been, apparently...
