do we need to worry?

have to admit to kind of ignoring all the hoopla about it in the press

two of my children are at different schools with swine flu.
They are not even closing schools now. Just use sensible precautions like hand washing and watching out for any signs your child is unwell.
The school will soon notify you if you need to do anything else

teach your children how really important it is to wash wash wash hands.

Stock up on calpol paracetamol, drinks etc so you are preaprd if dd does get ill, and the rest of your family.

If she doesn't have any immuno-suppression conditions, or asthma etc, it is unpleasant but not life threatening. Like flu.

good luck,

thanks, the school are being pretty blase about it, so it's not causing a big panic, but it would be helpful if they could at least say which year group the child with swine flu is in. thing is, the dc's always seem to end the school year with an illness of some kind, so it's not that unusual for something to be doing the rounds at this time of year.

Swine flu at our school now too.

Must nag DS's about good hand-washing in the morning.

have found out there is 1 case, and a few suspected too, same story at all the other local schools too!

it's closing in!

bet there's loads of kids kept off school now by panicky parents.
