We went to see DH in hospital - We haven't seen him since Monday

Seeing him was lovely

Leaving him was awful - I won't see him again until next Sunday evening

Then a lady stayed open until after 8 tonight to let us buy chickens

So good & bad

I feel so sad & DD is in floods of tears

any idea's on how much longer he'll be there? No chance you can get up there mid week?

Katymac · 04/07/2009 22:53

I don't finish work until 6 so with 2 hrs each way it's unlikely

Dr (not consultant) suggested 3-5 weeks so probably another 2 at least

cant you take some time off? finish early? Seems such a long time between visits. My work were so understanding when dh was in hospital, but i know some work places are just terrible.
Whats wrong with him? (can I ask that?)

I'm self employed - a childminder. SO it is difficult to get time off

He has bronchiectasis & asthma & maybe mycobacterium

They don't really know what is going on tbh - they have admitted that

well I would be telling parents you will be taking a half day next week. My child minder takes time off and you have a right to look after your family first.

I know

This visit has upset DD so much

Not sure if I should take her with me or leave her behind

If I went after school (at 4)we wouldn't be back until 9 at the earliest

Oh I don't know & the traffic then would be awful

I know my DD1 was very upset when we had to leave and also when we were told she wasnt allowed to visit. but i know she was so happy to spend aytime with him at all. Hint I would say is to take games they can play together. hope your ok, horrible time.

DD is very upset this morning

She is refusing to get up & she wants to miss her sailing lesson

understandable, bless her heart. How old is she? does he have a phone they can talk on?

Katymac · 05/07/2009 09:49

She is talking to him 2/3 times a day - she is 11 & quite hormonal

no chance of asking him to be moved to a closer hospital? seems so far.

Katymac · 05/07/2009 10:07

I think they are the only hospital in the country
