whats wrong with my ear?? feels like a butterfly in it!!

in my left ear! Not constant, soooo irritating! It doesnt hurt, what can it be??

I get this and it usually comes on in the night before I get a bad hayfever day, so I reckon it could be allergy related.

Its so bad it wakes me up [grrr]
