Testicle still not descended at 2.....

Is an op the only option? Anyone else's ds gone through it? What's it involve? Really need to see the GP about it but thought I'd ask first.

ds had 2 ops before he was 5, both were sucessfull. he had them done seperately as thsy were quite high up, and each time it involved one night in hospital. apart from horendus bruising(that brought tears to dh's eyes he was fine.
