I can hardly move and have an apointment at 11. My neck is giving me so much pain, I'm feeling sick. Full dose ibuprofen and paracetamol havent touched it.

Just feeling sorry for myself!

Sympathies - I had a similar problem a few years ago, caused by a couple of shunts in the car and a number of years sitting working at the pc. It's really painful isn't it. Your dr may give you a neck collar to ease it a bit and provide support, this does help a bit. I also had to have physio twice a week for about a month, & then once a week for another few months. The physio gave me a number of exercises to do as well. It does get better, but can still give me a bit of pain now & again, when it does I start the exercises straight away & it usually wears off pretty quick.

Now have muscle relaxants from doc and will be 'out of it' for 24-48 hours. Havent been in this much pain since I did labour!
