Sorry - need more info, but sounds perfectly normal to me - 48 hour bugs are common.

oh yes, I have had one that lasts a week before now, and then the loose poo can last even longer.

i gave him an imodium hopefully he'll shut up now.

noooooo imodium is bad and will make it last longer- and make the cramps worse. Basically imodium keeps all the shit in instead of flushing it out. Doesnt get rid of any infection.
