how did the jabs at 8 weeks affect your baby?

DD had the 8 week jabs last tuesday and has been very unhappy for the last 24 hours. Last night she was so unsettled and obviously uncomfortable but we couldn't work out why (ie, not hungry, not windy, not too hot/too cold). She hasn't had a normal bowel movement for over 24 hours although she has just done a tiny little bit but about a tenth of her normal size.

Could this be the reaction to the jabs perhaps?
I'm dreading tonight as last night was just hell for all of us (even DS got woken up with her crying).

so sorry you're having a worrying time. if you have another bad night maybe contact your gp. there are some who would think its a reaction to the jabs and some who would disagree. Good that she doesn't have a temp tho.

he was ok the evening afterwards though. the nurse did say that he might be a bit more fractious than normal

Mine had a fever adn was vary fractious for about 48 hours. Very unlike him. Wouldn't stop cryig and 'yelping'

just seems strange though that this is 6 days after the jabs dont you think? She's very unsettled again tonight. Exhausted it seems, didn't want her bedtime feed, took 2 ounces instead of the normal 6 and was in bed by 6.30pm but she's making groaning noises and not 100% settled.

I gave calpol at 10am this morning to see if that would help make her happier and haven't given any more but maybe I should. I dont like giving it though when I dont know what I'm giving it for if you get my meaning.

agree about the calpol, if it didn't help i wouldn't keep giving it, but others might disagree. it may or may not be related to vax, so hard to tell. I still think its a good sign she has no fever, but is it worth calling your doc?

My dd, was hungry and got herself into such a STATE, that she burst blood vessels on her face and head!Looked like men.rash...was so worried, but rash went in 24 hrs.

last night was even worse. starting to think this is not related. she woke at 8.45pm, 10.30pm, 12 midnight, 2 am, 3am, 5.15am and then 6.30!!! not like her at all. not hungry just in pain it seemed. will be calling doctors this morning first thing.
