Pain in/ behind ribs on LH side - what could it be? Should I bother going to GP?

My twins were born 15 months ago. It was a very uncomfortable and generally unpleasant pregnancy (my first - and possibly last!) as they were both breech and I developed pre-eclampsia and cholestasis resulting in a c-section at 34 weeks. For much of the pg I had pain below my left shoulder blade and in my ribs on the left. I had terrible back pain for quite a while after the birth but that seems to have pretty much gone now. I've been aware of an odd sensation in my ribs on the left every since I had the babies. I'm not sure if it's my ribs themselves or behind them. I can't quite define it - it feels a bit tender and just weird really, not quite right. It is sore to touch but only when I really prod it and I think it may be worse than it used to be but it is not incredibly sore or anything and doesn't affect my day to day life - it's more that I'm just aware of it. I kind of assumed that maybe it was to do with my ribs being pushed out by the pg but then surely it wouldn't still feel like this? Has anyone experienced anything similar? I had the worrying thought recently - and then terrified myself with too much internet research - that there could have been some kind of liver damage from the cholestasis... I'm pretty healthy though and am thinking liver probs would include other symptoms? Anyway, any advice/ experiences would be really useful. I don't have a great deal of time and making a dr's appointment for myself is, frankly, a pain in the arse as I'd need to find someone to look after the babies (steps in surgery mean I can't take them both with me as I can no longer carry both at once and certainly not up flights of stairs etc and they're not yet walking!) I really only want to go to my GP if someone can point to there being a likelihood that the dr would take me seriously and for it not to be a big fat waste of time IYSWIM!

Anyone? Should I be worried? How likely is it that I have liver problems? Something wrong with my ribs?

i get that pain under the ribs left hand side, have no idea what it is, but it seems to be worse after eating, its not there all the time though, just a couple of times a week.

As for your liver worry, i'm not medical but im sure i read somewhere that a dodgy liver doesnt actually cause pain, there would be other symptoms, also the liver is not at the left hand side, its more central/right sided
