will it do any harm to not , once only, finish the course of antibiotics?

i have just been, yet again, unsuccessful in getting dd 2.9 to take her antibiotics. i have no idea how much, if any, of this medicine has got into her in the last two days. i have tried all the tricks - nose holding, mixing with things, bribery, coaxing, shouting (), cuddling, syringing but have ended up having it spat/ vomited back up.
obviously, i am aware of the resistance thing, but will it do any harm, to just the once, abandon the course? TBH, she seems to be getting better without it.

If you don't finish the course the infection or whatever could flare up again.

Sorry this is such a nightmare.

thanks clarice. i am not even now sure if it is a bacterial infection; nursery have today told me they seem to have a virus going round, same symptoms.
she went hysterical this evening and threw the medicine back up
