Hi,

I'm 19 days late on my period but neg on a preg test. I'm normally on time (between 28-31 days) and have never missed a period except during my 2 pregnancies (1 MC, 1 DD)

I have alot of pregnancy symptoms - tiredness, loss of appetite, peeing alot, heartburn, sore boobs but only a little, I swear I can feel kicks wherever my waistband on my trousers are, weepy all the time.

Ive been to docs this morning and got told that unless I have pain (I have periody cramps) or a pos preg test they wont do anything for 6 months. When I explained that I needed answers as we are trying for no2 he started harping on about fertility problems not being investigated till after 18 months (we've been trying for 6 months)
In the meantime take folic acid etc in case I am pregnant but prepare myself for not being pregnant? HOW?!?!

The thing is I'm stressing over it now, which I know I shouldnt but I am, I keep crying and worrying and I need something, anything so that I have some idea of what it is.

I'm barely sleeping again even though I'm knackered and all I can think about is how I would like a cigarette but better hadn't incase i'm pregnant.

ANY help would be great PLEASE...

Would find a family planning clinic or go to a&e in your position.

LuckySalem · 19/05/2009 13:14

I dont know a family planning clinic around here but will certainly look. I didnt think of that.

Have just rang docs again and asked if I can speak to someone else as he wasnt very helpful and they are going to get the duty manager to call me back when she's done her surgery stuff this afternoon.

Do you think its an A&E thing?

I had similar at Christmas, I was 3 weeks late and had lots of pregnancy symptoms but negative tests, I came on eventually.

It's horrible especially if you're trying to conceive, i think i managed to make my period late by thinking about being pregnant so much.

Since then I've kept a diary of my cycle and all the pregnancy systems i had, i actually get every month, but didn't notice until i was starting to think about having another baby.

I would go back to the doctor if you haven't come on within a month though and demand they do something to put your mind at rest.

Thanks PP (love the name by the way)

Unfortunatly this doesn't help me. I've gotten myself too wound up now. I'm nearly 3 weeks late when i'm never late so something must be wrong (is whats in my head)

I just cant calm down over it and I really wish I could.

Ive found my family planning clinic now but I dont know if its worth trying to go there/speak to them,

My problem is that I feel as though there is something wrong either pg or something wrong so when people keep telling me oh its normal it'll pass I feel like i'm getting the brush off so I get annoyed about it.

If its normal someone explain to me why this happens and what exactly is happening!!

I have had something similar, its possible you had a cycle where you didn't ovulate which is why you have not come on.

Could you try another GP at the practice and ask for a blood test?

LuckySalem · 19/05/2009 14:24

I'm waiting for the practise doc to call me back cos when I asked the guy today he said nothing wold be done before 6 months were up.

Thanks - its handy to know why it could be caused. Would that explain the symptoms though (althogh they really could all be in my head)

Did you get a call back?

I had period type pains and some I felt tired too I think it might have been a hormone overload due to not ovulating.

I hope it is a pregnany though

Hey had callback and lots sorted but I think AF is on its way.
Put a tampax in just in case as there was abit of blood on the tissue but not sure if its fullblown or not.
