argh! [cruel heartless mother]but itr is one thing after another after another.

DH picked her up from school and she was fine until she remembered she twisted her ankle at school. I've been in half an hour and she hasn't shut up moaning. It isn't swollen. she can walk on it. I've given her ice. I've offered paracetamol.

If it's not a bruise it's a headache. if not a scratch it's a lump or bump. always something.

is it best to ignore or give sympathy? I usually go along the lines of there there dear it'll soon be better but she nags and moans and whines until I get a bit cross then feel guilty for being mean.

She has been plagued by feeling sick and tummy pain for about 2 years. All tests clear. But not a single day goes by when she doesn't get upset about feeling sick.

She is 11 by the way and a bit aspergersesque (my diagnosis not an official one but she has lots of AS characteristics)

I am a mean unsympathetic harsh woman who thinks she should take a paraetamol and get over it but this really doesn't work with her.

I was like this as a child, drove my Mum mad.

I now have health anxiety issues, which at times, can be very extreme, usually when I'm stressed and usually in winter.

I think mine started off as attention seeking, my brother was the golden child and I always felt a bit neglected.

Perhaps take her to the GP and have a chat about it?
