14 mo ds has huge blue bulge on gum in the area where a back molar would be, have only just noticed and now worried, is this normal?

he has cut his back left molar, but on his back right there is a painful looking blue/purple bulge, dentist and docs are closed as have just phoned them for advice, does anyone know what this is? I am worried now, going to try and google it as well but thought I would try here first.

It's an eruption cyst.
Quite common, nothing to worry about .
Google it.

thanks so much for your post and link, I was googling but unsure of how to word it to produce results! That makes sense and the the top picture looks identical to my sons gum. Thanks very much thats put my mind at rest.
