TMI alert!!! I'm a bit pongy 'down there' half way through cycle

I stopped taking the pill back in september last year as I'd been on it for forever and a day and wanted a break.

I suffered from bad PMT (reason for being on pill in first place), was worried I'd have constant hysteria when I came off of it, but I've so far been rather placid!

I've noticed though that about day 14 of my cycle I have a very smelly vagina, even after showering and it's very strong. I'm sure others can smell me but probably being paranoid!

There is no discharge, no pain, I'm sure I don't have some sort of infection and I don't use any sort of fanjo wash down there.

So what can this smell be about? I'm a mooncup user, not that that matters and only ever wear cotton underwear.

It's so bad I won't let DP near me for the week

Does anyone suffer, or has suffered from this?

You'd be ebst to get some swabs done at that time but it sounds like it could be bacterial vaginosis which is being triggered by hormonal changes.

Sounds like BV.

See your GP for some swabs. It can be easily treated with antibiotics.

see if it waxes and wanes

especially noticeable after unprotected sex?

you can just self cure though

Don't have unprotected sex as I don't want anymore babies!

And there is no discharge at all. My gusset is never soiled

Will definately go to get it checked out though. Have smear coming up - poor nurse

How do I self cure?
