Feel like period starting again 5 days after last one finished

Have been quite emotional today with lower backache, bloating and small amount of blood when I went to the loo earlier.

But have just finished a normal period 5 days ago.

Had DD2 last June and this is my 3rd period since stopping breastfeeding 3 months ago.

I do have PCOS but have never had anything like this happen.

Interestingly though, me and DH had sex for the first time since she was born 2 nights ago - wondering if that could be a reason?

you poor thing;your hormones could still be a bit rampant from june,specially with the sex -could that kick start another one off? i'd see your doctor if it doesn't settle soon.
Can I ask you something about PCOS? I've had suggestions that it could be at the root of my problems; I've had no periods for about 4 years, put a ton of weight on when they stopped which just doesn't want to shift, have achy pain and swelling in my left side, and also on and off crippling pain in my ankles and knees
I've been to doctors time and again but only in the last month been taken seriously.( one lovely lady gp told my that she couldn't do an exam cos I was too fat. nice.)
Is any of this familiar to you, I'm getting close to the end of my tether.

that does sound like PCOS trishyfish. I think you should ask for a referral to a gynaecologist as that's what I did - some GP's won't take you seriously, but mine did when I said I couldn't get pregnant because I was having random periods and probably ovulating once or twice a year.

Best thing I did going to a gynae as I was put on Clomid (to make me ovulate) and Metformin (to regulate insulin levels) and I was pregnant with my first DD after 4 attempts.
