ANyone who's on the mini pill -

Did your monthly bleed ever suddenly stop?
I have been on it for 6 years and had a bleed regularly every month until now.
Is it normal for it to stop suddenly or should I be joining the thread for possibly pregnant over 42's!

No it never did.

Have you taken it on time? Any antibiotics or illnesses recently?

I was away for a few days (at time of last period) and forgot to take it with me - but didn't have sex till we got back home and back on pill.

The one i took you had to take for 14 days before it was effective again. There is one you have to take for a week before it is effective. Did you check how long you needed to take it for? How late are you?

I didn't check as I reckon I'm 43 and it took an awful lot of trying to get pregnant before...I'm about 1 week late.

so you came back, started taking it and had sex that was therefor unprotected in the midst of your cycle? Ah I see.

I've just come off the mini pill - Femulen and I was quite regular with that. But the brand before, can't remember the name, I hardly bled at all - maybe once every four months. Doc said it was completely normal....
