Right, I have got my namechange hat on. I had my second dc 9 months ago. I had a second degree tear, as I did with my first dc. I had my first stitched, but tbh it never felt like it was a good job. After my second birth I was so blissed out that I refused stitches. I have had pretty much constant thrush ever since. And now the tear has started to bleed It feels very sore and itchy and when I wipe there is blood on the paper. Aside from getting the thrush treated, is it possible to get the tear sewn up so late after childbirth? I wish I had let them do it tbh, I do feel very different now (I know thats to be expected after 2 children but it's not an issue of pelvic floor, the actual tear is pretty much the whole perineum so sex with dp just doesn't feel that great So what can I do?? Would they have to tear it again before they stitched it iyswim? ANd would I see a GP or just the practice nurse to discuss this?

Ooh poor you. I would go straight to GP rather than nurse on this one.

Thanks.
I know I shouldn't be embarassed but I had such a difficult birth with dc1 that I'm reluctant to have examinations. I think thats partly why I said no to stitches this time as well. I guess I'll just have to be brave. This can't go on

I understand I had bad tears with both my ds's, the first was also badly done and took a long time to heal.

Not sure how they would go about it but expect the area would be better aneasthatised (sp?) this time than straight after birth!
