thickening of breast tissue, any ideas what it could be?

I was checking my breasts the other day. When I laid my fingers flat on my left breast just above the nipple, it felt nice and soft. When I did the same with my right breast if felt very firm to touch but with no obvious lump. I asked my DH to see what he thought and he agreed that the right side was definitely harder.

Now my query before I head off to the GPs is that as I'm right handed is it likely that the muscle in my chest is going to be more defined and it is that which I'm feeling rather than anything more sinister?

any suggestions appreciated!

I am not qualified to answer your q's, but I think you should be asking your GP that question and getting yourself checked out TODAY. Please

Probably benign but get it checked out asap (am in that field)
