was this, erm, pre-childbirth?

i do vaguely recall different sized instrumentation being required...

ChairmumMiaow · 07/05/2009 13:42

I don't remember them ever hurting, but the new things they used last time (little brushes instead of wooden lolly stick thingies) were much more comfortable.

ooh I hope this is true as I have mine a week on Friday. Thinking about it, the one three years ago wasn't at all bad.

S1ur · 07/05/2009 13:43

hmm. I don't think they've changed...

Are you just a bit of a bucket now?

GracieGrace · 07/05/2009 13:43

My fanjo has been reinforced by two babies one of whom was nearly 10lbs, smears are like waving a baton in the Albert Hall for me now.

Yes, the brush thingy is much better than the lolly stick thingy.

Whilst in the doctors' waiting room I did once overhear a patient having a smear...poor girl. The nurse had forgotten to turn off the intercom after calling her through. Next thing I heard was a series of groans of increasing intensity...sounded not unlike she was being pleasured!

Then shortly afterwards the nurse walked out with several boxes of smear test kits!

Needless to say, being a proper grown-up, I giggled my ass off!

tee hee
