DH in pain again 10 days after kidney stone

A bit random but hopefully someone medical will be able to help. About 10 days ago DH was admitted to hospital in agony with a kidney stone. He was in loads of pain the night before and then at 6.30 in the morning was literally screaming in pain so I called emergency dr who told me to take him straight up to A&E. They did an x-ray where they saw a small kidney stone, then admitted him and he had some scan where they injected dye into his arm to show where the kidney stone was. After reviewing the scan consultant said there was no evidence of the kidney stone being there and he must have passed it so was sent home with instructions to drink lots.
He actually had to go to dubai for work 2 days after all this happened and was given the ok to go by consultant and was absolutely fine while over there. He stayed in a colleagues house and drank plenty of water and ate "normal" food iykwim??
He came home saturday and has been in pain ever since. He says the pain isn't in his pain like it was but in the lower part of his abdomen and is nothing like the severe pain he had before but more like a dull ache with spasms...he said it doesn't feel like an actual stomach ache if that makes any sense but something else?

Any idea what it could be? He is assuming its nothing to do with the kidney stone because the pain was in his back before whereas now the pain is in the front but Im assuming the stone must have to get through bladder etc to get out (even tho consultant said it must have already gone!!)

Have to say Im actually quite worried about him. He is a fit and healthy 31 year old who literally doesn't ever say that he's in pain with anything so for him to say it hurts it must really hurt.

He won't go back to the dr (being a stubborn man!) but if it still like it tomorrow I will be dragging him there lol!)

Any suggestions greatly appreciated?

does he have any urinary symptoms?

any pain/burning while urinating? frequency or urgency?

he needs to be properly assessed by a clinician.
