Have you had acupuncture for a reproductive disorder?

Did it change anything? I'm about to see an acupuncturist next week for fibroids and just wanted to canvas some opinions.

Yes. I had acupuncture because I wasn't ovulating (low progesterone). Three months after I started acupuncture, my hormone levels were re-tested and they were completely normal and I was ovulating again.

I had acupuncture for PCOS and it did help in as much as it made my periods a little more regular. I didn't get pregnant, but then I didn't expect to. It was very relaxing but rather expensive for the results I got.

I've since started taking Metformin which has made a huge improvement to my symptoms, so drugs win hands down on this IMO.

Yes,WE had been ttc for 3.5 years with no joy.I'd had fertility drugs, lap & dye tests, but no-one could find any reason for our [problems. We were eventually told that we'd never concieve naturally and it was a choice of either adoption or the waiting list for IVF

I started acupuncture and within a few moths, had regular periods for the 1st time ever.Within 6 months I was pregnant.Sadly,it was ectopic and I was told by the consultants that my already slim chances of concieving again, were even slimmer and that even IVF could b e dangerous.

Being a stubborn sort,I didn't listen, went back to my acupuncturist and within 7 weeks, was pregnant again.Ihad a healthy dd and a was pregnant again just after her 1st birthday, with no treatment at all.dd2 is nearly 4 now.

Sorry for the long post, but I genuinely believe that the acupuncture regulated my reproductive system and 7 years down the line,it is still regular.

Best of luck!

Hurrah! I am so glad to hear these stories (though sorry for bran that it didn't help you get pregnant - hurrah for the aggressive but effective power of drugs, though ).

I had major surgery a few years ago to remove these buggers and then conceived straight away. But now they're back and I really don't want to have an op - not least because I'm hoping to conceive DC no 2 this year.

Well done FG for your stubborn persistence. What a brilliant story.

I feel reassured now that there's a good hope of sorting myself out without going under the knife.

Thanks so much, all of you.
