I am currently taking co-codamol 4 x a day and votarol 3 xa day. However I'm getting a confused as to when I took them. Today for example I took teh co-codamol at 8.30, then took teh votarol at 9.30, but sometime I take them both together or earlier int eh day and often miss a dose because I can't remember when I took them!
My mobile doens't have a facility for more than one reminer a day, so can't use that.

what about a pill pot with times on instead of days?

misdee · 30/04/2009 18:42

little notebook and pencil?

alarms on your mobile phone set to the times you should take each tablet - then name the alarm with the tablet name.

This means you know which tablet you need to take and you will not forget it either.

ps - I would get some prunes or apricots, even both if you are taking co-codamol

Put all the pills you need in a small container each morning...that way you can see what you have taken/not taken throughout the day.

Misdee - knowing me I'd lose the notebook or forget to fill it in. Same with a pill pot. Might try it for a few days. I know in the big scheme of things it's not a lot of pills, but this Fibro really muddles my brain at times and with paracetamol products I don't want to be overdosing!

Do a little paper spread sheet with days down the side, 2 lines for each day, each line devoted to the times for each medicine. Tick off as you take them. Put the meds beside the piece of paper too!! And a pen. Every little helps keep me organised.

You did ask.

sorry didn't read aout your mobile not haveing alarm

It is how I always do antibiotics, I just set the alarm, but you could reset the reminder, before you take the tablet to go off again in 5 hours?

Ivykaty44 · 30/04/2009 18:51

I know - get someone to text you every time you need to take a tablet with the text telling you which tablet to take

RaspberryBlower · 30/04/2009 18:52

You can get boxes with all the days and times on so you only need to fill it once a week.

Saltire I got really confused, so teh Dr prescribed ectolac, which you take just once a day (it is a slow release painkiller) and I then just take the Codeine morning and night 9extra one at lunch time if really bad, plus Plaquinal morning and night.

any chance of talking to the Dr and seeing if you could maybe take the same. (Plaquinel is for the Lupus, so probably not need that).
