I went for my 6 week check up post anterior and posterior repair and supposedly rebuild of the perinium (too stressed to spell) and my surgeon confirmed my fears that she forgot to do the rebuild, she said she thought she had done that more but she hasn't done anything infact its probably worse!! She described it as Gapping in her notes which is really upsetting me think I am going mad!!!! She wants me to come back in 6 months time. My husbands pay runs out in june as does our medical insurance so i wont be covered if i have it done then, i can't sleep with worry and feeling so let down please please somebody advise?

Where are you in the country fees?

I have a brilliant Consultant at Blackheath Hospital - I am sure he would be willing to see you and sort you put sooner than 6 months if it is possible.

I am overseas my consultant says she wants me to heal and thats why it will not be for 6 months but i suspect thats not the only reason, I feel bad even feeling angry with her I have so much to be grateful for her without her i wouldn't have two of my children and she has been ill herself. I am thinking of going back to her and confronting her telling her i feel let down and want it done asap but i am so nervous i hate confrontation have never complained about anything before!

If your insurance has already paid for the op and she did not do it then you should not be charged for having it done again IYSWIM.

Get yourself together, get a little bit angry ad demand to see her again. Tell her that you are not happy about the situation (politely) tell her about the insurance ad ask her for written confirmation that this opporation will be done gratis as she did not do the job the first time round.

I know my mother has had tweo opporations doen again (one twice) because her non NHS doctors messed up. She was never expected to pay and they knew it was their fault.

HTH and try not to worry, it won't help you to stress yourself out (easy said I know)

If you're happy with using her, I would explain the situation to her and ask her what she suggests you do. Put the ball in her court.

If you don't want to go to her I can recommend someone brilliant in central London, if you're anywhere nearby.

Oh, and big hugs to you.

And - great advice from KingCanute.
