Chicken smells...is it off? Sorry didn't know where to post!

As above.

Tesco delivered a whole fresh chicken use by date of today.

It smells...funky! Not really horrendous, but enough to wonder.

Have rinsed it well under cold water and roasting with garlic, rosemary ... strong flavours.

Any mum-insights appreciated.

:-)

I would'nt take any chances with meat, but then I am fussy.

Its probably alright - chicken can smell a bit dodgy sometimes.

That said, I would think I would be having second thoughts about using it.

Was it delivered today? If so, a bit naughty to give you one that has to be used so soon.

No it was Wednesday. Still bad with such a short shelf life. Was going to do it Sunday!

Am going to see what its like once cooked.

Thanks mums!

Good luck!

I am sure it will be fine - as I say it can get a bit pongy just from being in the packet but it will be fine when cooked.

was it a Willow Farm one?

I've just returned one that was putrid
