and I have no idea where to look. My fanjo is in such a state after the birth of dc3 that something has to be done. Does anyone have a recommendation of a good surgeon/Doctor???

I'm not really sure, isn't it possible to be refered to one through the nhs?

SadFanjo · 08/04/2009 22:36

I guess so, but I wanted to see someone really brilliant. I'm seeing GP next week but ideally wanted to go with the na,e of the person I wanted to get referred to.
Back to the drawing board I suppose.

Where are you?

Why do you think the NHS won't be able to provide somebody "brilliant"? Most surgeons work in both private and NHS.

I have a referral through the NHS to a local plastic surgeon. He works in the NHS and privately. Everybody I've mentioned his name to has cooed in admiration.

Why don't you google your local private and NHS hospitals and see which names come up most often and have the best CVs? Then you can ask your GP about them.

My problems are extreme and caused by cancer surgery so no question about getting an NHS referral. But I do have friends who've had decent post-baby repairs done on the NHS. There's a whole load of them on this thread too. Some may live near you and have some local gossip.

I had my bits repaired (and admired, I'm sure) by a very nice gynae surgeon at Kingston Hospital. So they do exist!
