Anyone else had problems with this pill?
I've been on it since DD2 was born, which is 5yrs ago now. Initially prescribed 2 tabs a day which is perfectly safe because my periods were unbelievably heavy - ie I couldn't stop bleeding and was going to the bathroom every hour.
Taking 2 tablets a day meant I had no bleeds at all....great but I felt I should be 'normal' and have 1 tablet a day so almost a year ago I went down to 1 a day.
Since then I might get a period, I might not. Some months I get two periods, some months nothing at all.
This month, for example, my period came, on time, and lasted just over a week. I've had one week of no bleeding and even managed to fit in a smear test (!) and now I'm having a mini-bleed again - not a full-blown period but enough to need to use a pad. Yesterday I didn't bleed at all - this morning there's a little - its not fresh bright red blood but just some yeucky dark brown stuff.
Yesterday I decided to go back up to 2tabs a day - give it a few days and I know I'll stop bleeding again.
TBH I've had nothing but hassle with this pill....anyone else have problems on it and what others are there out there that are suitable for me...I'm 41 btw and I think that's why the GP put me on the mini-pill. I don't want to have the coil either.
