Any dentists out there- am really worried! Hard lump has appeared on my gum over wisdom tooth extraction 14 MONTHS ago- what is it?

had all four wisdoms extracetd 14 months ago, bottom two had to be 'dug' out as were in the jaw bone. Apart from the ususal healing process all has been well.

Woke up this mornning with a feeling in my mouth that something had got stuck behind my gum on the right side. had a look in mirror and there is a little, very hard white 'lump' appeared over where the tooth used to be. Could this be a bit of tooth or bone or something, it seems an awfully long time after for this to be happening!!

Am going to try to get in to see dentist today but am moving house tomorrow so if anyone could offer me any reassurance i would be very grateful!!

Is it a little sharp bit? I had one after a wisdom tooth was extracted, but much sooner. It was called something like a sequestri (sp?) and was sort of the lining of the socket IIRC. It worked its way out - a little shard of white stuff like tooth/bone. But I'm not sure if you'd get those so long afterwards?
