Way TMI, but pre, during and post period bodily functions

Does anyone else have a weird poo cycle? I don't poo that much (prob every two days) pre period, then the second my period hits I do at least 7 big poop visits a day in the first three/four days, and need to wee at least every hour. I am fluctuating by over a dress size or two with PMT, but my period is taking longer and longer to come, which is causing more and more "blockage" so to speak. Senekot with PMT just makes me do a little every day, but still have the same prob. It is driving me insane!

I'm the opposite! Usually go once a day but usually go 3 or 4 days while I've got my period. Makes things very uncomfortable!

Am so glad it is not just me . I thought PMT was just inflammation/trapped air caused by cramping (which is what it used to be with me), but for some reason it has turned into some mad hoarding experience!

I always know I'm about to start my period because I have a really upset stomach the day before,(as well as breaking out in spots and getting a huge headache) I hate periods!

I always used to get the runs at the beginning of my period, and also when going into labour, its suppossed to be caused by prostaglandins I think.

I get constipated when I'm on my period.

Personally I get very bloated and feel very swollen so all I can assume is that things in front of my bowel (ie my reproductive stuff) are all so massive that they are pushing against my poor colon and stopping me going to the loo.

Ick

I think it's to do with your oestrogen levels.

Best thing for bloating/constipation is to drink lots of water and take some exercise. Can just be a walk round the block, but it will help.

I always think I must remember to drink lots just before my period starts but I've become rubbish at keeping track of it now and it seems to vary between 26 and 30 days anyway and so it starts - with consequent constipation issues - before I've registered I need to drink extra!
