New to back pain - come and advise me

So - I have done "something" to the top of my back. It is causing me all sorts of odd sensations in my back, arms, neck, even the odd facial twitch

GP has checked me out today and given me some wonderful drugs which really help.

But what now? She referred me to Physio. But how long could it go on for really? All these twitches and tingles are really scarey - thought I was having a stroke the other day

Anyone had similar who can share a story to reassure me these things are normal and once my back is fixed I will be OK?

I think you may have trapped a nerve which is causing all the twitches etc. Nerve trapping can be really painful, cause numb bits, twitches, all sorts. You can trap a nerve really very easily, even sleeping in the wrong position. Hopefully the physio can manipulate you to release the said nerve and all will be back to normal.

Obviously if the physio makes no change then go back to your doc and get a referral.

Hopefully you will be right as rain in no time. Once I slept oddly and one of my vertabrae got stuck looking to the left whilst the rest moved back to their normal position. It hurt like a bugger but the physio sorted it no problem.

Good luck!

Thanks Blue

Glad to hear the twitching is kind of usual!

Physio referals here are usually quite wuick so hopefully a few weeks of full stregth pain killers and they will sort me out They did wonders with a dodgy ankle last year!

Anyone got any suggestions for vitamins/suppliments I can take?
