i had a tooth out nearly 2 weeks ago so ive been eating on the good side and last night as i was eating dinner it felt like my throat sort of twanged ? if you see what i mean ,its tender now and hruts a little when i eat ,swallowing feels ok ,breathing is fine
does anyone know if you can pull a muscle like this and how long does it take go stop hurting ?

Sorry you've had no messages candyfluff. I thought I had to reply.

I'm not too sure if I've experienced anything like that tbh. Sounds like you may have strained your throat and now it's just a bit sore maybe. If you are unsure and it keeps on then see your GP.

Sorry I'm not much help, but I felt sorry for you not having any replies.

I don't know about actually pulling a muscle in your throat but I have experienced something similar - what I did was to put my fingers either side of my Adam's apple and move it from side to side, gently, until it felt freer again.
If you get a sort of crunching in your throat/neck when you do it, that means you are helping it, ime.

This happened to me a few times and its very scary you feel scared to swollow. I do the same as thumbunny and it does go. Last time I did it was turning my head to the side to watch the television. Hopefully it won't happen again.

God, this is so strange - this happened to me yesterday (never before) and still have it. Tis exactly how Candyfluff describes it (as if I have pulled a muscle / like after throwing up really badly) - being a born hypochondriac I have been worrying all day - will definately try Thumbbunny's tip - is crunching like mad!
