puked so much I bust a blood vessel (or 3) - now have a face like a meatball.

I have 'morning' sickness - 16 weeks pregnant and still sick more or less every other day. This morning I was retching really badly and just could not stop. I felt my face going bright red and when I finally stopped puking and looked in the mirror my entire face and neck was covered in tiny red blood spots the size of a pinprick. I mean literally hundreds of them - especially around my eyes which really show up. I look like a giant meatball . How long do you think it will last and is there anything I can do to make them go away?

You poor thing. DD had broken blood vessels around her eye a while ago from coughing really hard...it took about 3 or 4 days to completely fade. Can you just use foundation/concealer to disguise until then? You could try witch-hazel compresses or arnica cream to speed it along (as it's basically just bruising).

Poor thing - how horrible. This happened to me with my second baby, but it was only around my eyes so obviously not as bad as you. I'd say they went after about a day.

thank you - it is kind of fading a bit for now. Will just have to hope tomorrow morning is better. I have complained to be lovely dh as he normally rubs my back as it helps me to stop heaving but he was on an early train this morning so no-one to help me as the dd's were too interested in watching lazytown!
