I have had a headache for almost 2 weeks now and swollen glands and tonsils since Monday. My neck is tender to touch and move as well as my actual tonsils being sore. Yesterday i noticed i now have white patches on my tonsils. The pain is a little better over the last couple of days but i am exhausted have constanc mucus in my throat and still have the headache and the swelling. Should i try to get to see gp this aft or early next week for some ab's or if the pain is a little better is there no point now?? Can't decide what to do and don't want to waste gp's time if indeed i manage to get in.

Go.
Could it be glandular fever, btw, or have you already had it?
Ask to be tested for it.

I would make an appointment for ab's if the mucus is still there it sounds like a nasty bout.

If you cant get an appointment until next week you can always cancel if you're better by then.
