anyone else had a cough / cold / generally ludicrous levels of snot for weeks and weeks and weeks and weeks or is it just me? Warning, mucus discussed in minute details may upset the squeamish!!!!

Had a really nasty dose of flu about 7or8 weeks ago, and am still coughing up or blowing down unbeleivable quantities of the most disgusting, sticky green snot; am especially untidy first thing in the morning! It is just going on and on and on. I am still deaf in one ear, despite several sessions of hopi ear candles; although I will admit to going to those just for an excuse to lie down for an hour in a soothing environment, without Roary the Racing Car blaring in the background and a 3.5 ds using me as his own personal bouncy castle!

Both dh and ds had similar, but were over it in a couple of weeks; though I maintain that was down to copious levels of bed rest and tlc........is it just me or are there others out there with this horrible lingering millaise?

I'm with you! I have had and ear infection caused by loads of fluid in my ears , anti biotics clear it up but I still can't hear and the fluid still stays there. My ears click and I feel like I'm underwater. My sinus are affected too and I keep waking up and coughing which makes me heave and then I thrown up! Soooo sick of it. It all caused by fluis in my head but I can't have a prescription decongestant and nothing else is working. It does come and go but this morning I threw my breakfast up seconds after finishing it. I've never blown my nose so much in my likf!

yes lovely mil had ds yesterday and i slept for most of the day....have had that 'get to the top of the stairs and I just want to lie down' thing going on for weeks now; this from a 3 times a week gymer!

I'm on day 8....I have been producing snot and phlegm in the most exciting hues

It takes me an hour in the morning to clear all passageways enough to get up without head exploding.

After having had croup and a horrible throat infection that knocked me out for most of 2 weeks a few weeks ago I now seem to be struggling again. What was just a cold has left me shivery, blocked up and coughing constantly and with a thumping head.

please go to the doctor. I had no hearing, taste or smell for 3 weeks in February and a thumping head (and endless green snot).

I had to give in and see the doctor about just a cold. But it wasn't just a cold. I had a rather nasty infection in my sinuses, acute sinusitis was diagnosed and I was put on a course of antibiotics.
