excessively thick endometrium on scan, hideously heavy periods, anyone been here?

Have been referred to gynae as "urgent" and they reckon I'll be seen within a fortnight. Now I don't know whether to be worried (which I am) or pleased that they are getting it sorted. Experiences please?

my sis-in-law had something like that. it was fixed in an afternoon!
