Go back tonight if you can see out of hours. Ring surgery answerphone for number.
it might well be what is known as 'dry socket' which is agony, you should never self prescribe antibiotics, could be totally the wrong ones for it and encourages resistance.

Please ring someone asap and get it seen to x

ditto out of hours. even if they are not for dental per se they should be able to help.

Mandragore · 21/03/2009 18:52

I meant the dental surgery, should be an OOH dental service!

Ours is called Dentaline, they're based at the hospital and open every evening.

They would do something to the socket, I think they pack it or something, if it's dry socket it means it won't heal properly until it's been seen to.

Can you take the kids along>? I have had to on occasion, they are quite good about helping you out, usually - baby on lap, nurse distracting toddler etc

MayorNaze · 21/03/2009 19:04

that is a bit defeatist. sorry.

if it is that bad, get your dh home and get yourslef to a hospital. at least ring some sort of helpline.

Mandragore · 21/03/2009 19:04
