Mirena coil - unexpected bleeding after 8months with no periods. Is this ok?

Had mirena coil put in 9 months ago - bled for a month then it all stopped but have just started bleeding again - should I be concerned?

I still breastfeeding (don't know if that makes a difference to the hormones??)

should I be worried or going to see the gp?

often normal don't think any need for alarm beels but mention it to gp / family planning see what they see

I'm in the same boat. I had mine put in Feb 2008 and bled for a month then it stopped for 11 months. It's now back and I feel so PMS like, crampy, night sweats, gained 20 pounds. Really thinking it needs to come out. I'm confused. Why would one start bleeding again?
