Daily headaches, exhaustion and peeing loads, any ideas?

This has come on in the last week or so. I've been waking up fine in the morning but feeling a bit tireder than usual. Over the day the tiredness gets worse until mid afternoon when I can hardly hold my head up (literally). The headaches start around lunchtime and get progressively worse. I feel a bit better after tea but still not right. Then the next morning it starts all over again. The headaches feel a bit like the precursor to migraines and I get sensitive to smells and light but it rarely progresses. If I sit still I feel better but when I get up or move it starts stabbing again. On top of that I'm going to the loo really frequently. Any ideas please?

It sounds like you need to pop to your GP with a urine sample and get them to check your BP whilst you are there. A UTI can make you wee more. I don't know about the headaches though, high blood pressure can cause this.

Pop to the GP.

check your temp and urine sample for infection and sugar .

CharCharGabor · 13/03/2009 22:57

Thanks scrooged I haven't got any paining weeing or anything but I'll get it checked just in case. High blood pressure? Erk, I'm only 22! I'll make an appointment on Monday and get checked.

Maybe check blood sugar. I know that frequent urination is a symptom of Type 1 diabetes (very unlikely but better to be safe than sorry)

scrooged · 13/03/2009 22:58

I'll add this to your bill

Tell them about the headaches and passing more urine. Is it a funny colour? Any pain?

wrinklytum · 13/03/2009 22:58

i would get your blood sugar levels checked. It could be a lot of things though so a trip to gp the cest bet.

SlightlyMadScotland · 13/03/2009 23:01

Yes - urine sample to GP I think.

Diaebetes can cause excessive peeing, and tiredness - although has other symptoms you don't describe. Are you excessively thirsty?

Not sure it is associated with headaches though.

Another thought - You couldn't be pg? I know that I was exhausted in early pg. And pee'd loads, and many people suffer headaches.

CharCharGabor · 13/03/2009 23:04

scrooged, I'm falling apart! Thanks all for your posts. Urine looks normal and there's no pain, just running upstairs all the time. The exhaustion is really getting to me, it's hard running after DD when I can hardly move.

CharCharGabor · 13/03/2009 23:07

I'm pretty thirsty all the time anyway as DD is bf. I haven't noticed it being any worse than normal. I don't think I could be pregnant, would be a low chance.

Its alright.
Normal's good, as is no pain. Pop and take a sample in anyway so they can check it, get them to check your BP and blood sugar.

I wouldn't be surprised if it is post viral fatigue after all the illnesses you've had, let them diagnose this though.

CharCharGabor · 13/03/2009 23:17

Will do. Suppose that could be a possibility, I've been healthy for about a month though now. Why do you always notice things on a Friday?

It's to give you the weekend to fester!

It's good that you have been well for a while though

scrooged · 13/03/2009 23:21

I'm off to bed. I hope you are feeling better (again) soon

CharCharGabor · 13/03/2009 23:28

Thanks scrooged

I feel like this this week, I wonder if it's viral?

CharCharGabor · 13/03/2009 23:39

I did wonder that coldtits, my dad's been complaining of lots of headaches. He's quite stressed atm though so I don't know if it's linked. Hopefully it is and it'll pass for us soon
