Am I alone is being scared shitless about cervical cancer?

I'm 23 (almost 24)and was recently refused a smear.

I'm SO worried and being sent home has made me so much more anxious!

Am I alone?

Marie Stopes offer a 50% reduction in fees for women under 25 who've been refused a smear test. It is £50 IIRC.

What scares me, is - didn't Jade actually have a smear test that came back clear? Or did she not go? Have heard different things and am confused.

I am due one later in the year (not my first admittedly) but I am constantly imagining symptoms.

I have fairly heavy periods for the first couple of days but then I have about a week until it finishes completely. I don't bleed in between but I think paranoia has definitely set in as a result of recent events.

No one else?

iir jade has had abnormal smears for years..she had the pre cancerous cells removed but they returned.

The fact they kept returning scared her and she delayed things iir...

THEN she kept having problems...irregular bleeding, pain,collapsing etc. It was these tests that showed nothing initially and came back ok.

It was only when she went to the RM hospital did she then find out things had been missed...By then it was to late..

Im no expect though and this is my understanding.

To answer the initial questions: Yes it petrifies me... Along with other forms of cancer..Breast etc. I constantly have a black cloud above my head atm .
