I'm 38 and symptoms are night sweats, forgetfulness, weight gain, but only on breasts irritability that lasts 3 weeks instead of a few days and tearfulness, which I have never been prone to before.

Don't know if it is anything to do with menopause and if it is I don't think it will bother me in a shock horror I'm getting old kind of way, but what do I need to know about/what should I be asking the doctor?

Do you know when your mum went through the menopause ?

38 is early ... nut not unheard of.

You need to think if your periods have changed in any way, frequency, flow etc.

They will do a blood test to see if a hormone is changing.

Good luck x

Definitely ask him about the breasts - I need to know the answer to that. I have gone up three cup sizes in a couple of years.
Are you going to ask about HRT?
