And before you say it I am most definitely not pregnant!

Anybody had any experience of this strange taste? I have had it about 6 days and it rarely goes away, in fact its nearly put me of drinking wine!

any experiences/advice appreciated.

It can be an indication of dental problems -- when was your last checkup?

inthemistsoftime · 08/03/2009 12:05

I went to the dentist last month, everything was fine.

I do have some dental implants which have temporary caps on but at the time the dentist said that they were fine.

Any new medication?

inthemistsoftime · 08/03/2009 15:25

no nothing new,

it a complete mystery, so probably the best thing is to visit the drs.

thanks

somewhere in the depths of my memory I think there is a type of anaemia that gives a metallic taste (and sore tongue?)

def see GP if it persists

Sounds like blood. Could be seeping down the back of the nose into the throat, bleeding gums from gingivitis perhaps.

loobeyloo, you could be right about the anaemia, must try and increase iron intake and visit drs.

thanks for your answers
