Does anyone know anything about CMV (cycomegalovirus)?

I am 34 weeks pg and have had symptoms of dizziness, nausea, fatigue and then sore throat, ear ache and sore glands in neck.
Doctor is running tests for glandular fever (Epstein Barr) and CMV. I am terrified I have CMV because of the effects on the baby. I don't get the results until next week.
Does anyone have any experience - or short of that any hand holding until early next week.
Im going crazy with anxiety.....

Just to add I have had these symptoms for nearly 3 weeks although some of them have come and gone.

Those viruses are relatively difficult to catch, and the symptoms and signs of CMV can overlap quite a lot with other infections. Hence it seems unlikely, but may not be possible to say for sure until the test results are through. Do you have a young toddler at nursery, a partner having a similar illness, or a recent new partner? Sorry to ask personal questions but it can be of help in assessing likelihood of this being CMV.

Just to reassure you though: CMV infection at that stage of pregnancy would almost certainly have very little noticeable effect on the baby. Probably the worst time to get a primary CMV infection would be during the first trimester.
