no idea.. but I wish mine would just go on it's own.. (am also dark skinned and haired).
so if you'd like to pass some of the dissapearing hair over to me

piratecat · 05/03/2009 12:00

hae you been wearing tighter sleeved clothing recently??

friction from clothing can rub hair off legs and arms..............DHs legs are very hairless from jeans rubbing in certain places ATM

Seeline · 05/03/2009 12:07

I don't think it's an age thing. I turned 40 last year, and my legs have begun to resemble those of a gorilla (and I'm fair haired)

piratecat · 05/03/2009 12:11

psycomum, was going to say that, about men losing hair on jeans rubbed bits!!!

apart form cardigans no can't think why!!! tis v stange and obv has no bearing on age then, cos thinking about it my boobs have got hairier!!!!

piratecat - the same thing happened to me althoug I am fair but did have really hairy forearms - I noticed mine had all but disappeared after the birth of my dd (5 years ago) it has never come back although arm is still hairer than the other - I am in my late forties though so you may be on the right track !

LotsofLovelyShoes · 05/03/2009 12:23

want some of my excess?

expatinscotland · 05/03/2009 12:24

i wish!

psychomum5 · 05/03/2009 12:25

going on your comment on hairier boobs, then maybe the hair has migrated......

Goober · 05/03/2009 12:28

Sleeve chafe.

piratecat · 05/03/2009 14:46

lol, maybe i have been doing too much of that Les Dawson as a woman propping up the boobs thing.

well i am getting on a bit!!

my mum said the same thing happened to her but with her leg hair, mine are fewer too. This is a good thing!

ihatethecold · 05/03/2009 18:27

better than it was. i used to be so concious at school, being half indian, as you can imagine, but now its not very noticable

piratecat · 05/03/2009 18:55

hmm prob not a good idea but underactivethyroid can cause hairloss. I have also lost some hair on eyebrows and eyelashes over the last yr or so.

I have other symptoms too.
