Did my son have very mild chicken pox?

I ask because I really have no idea.

When my first son got it at 2 yrs, he was covered in spots from head to toe and very poorly with it.

Second son (18 months)had a fever the day before I saw a spot. The first spot I saw was on his inside bottom lip. I thought it was a mouth ulcer. I then saw three spots on his leg. They looked like typical chicken pox, blister like. He had maybe ten other spots dotted around his body and that was it. He wasn't ill, still eating and sleeping normally.

So was that chicken pox? Can it be as mild as that?

Thanks for your help.

I am wondering this as DD, 2.5, has a scattering of them on her tummy but beyond the usual cold/cough she always has seems fine. There has been an outbreak at her nursery though. Have DS, 5 mths, but since I'm bf him I'm pretty sure he's protected anyway?
