Has anyone come off the mini pill and felt awful?

I've stopped taking cerazette and feel so awful, like PMT all day long.
Is this normal? I wouldn't have thought stopping the pill would have any side effects?
I just hope it passes soon. Or maybe it's unrelated?

I believe that is quite common as Cerazette often completely stops periods - it has in my case - so the supression of hormones must be quite intense. So it stands to reason that when the hormones come back they come flooding back, complete with a super-dooper PMT session.

Try some evening primrose oil, avoiding sugar and eating crackers every few hours to keep your blood sugar balanced, that will probably help. It'll pass in a few months

Thanks for the tips. I have been taking starflower so will carry on with that.

My tum is so bloated right now I look 6 months pg

Ah the dreaded water retention - you have a mega-period coming you know. It'd be good to get painkillers megapads (or a canoe) in now ready!

Sorry you are going through this - if it makes you feel any better my doc reckons if you have this reaction to coming off the pill you would have a much worse reaction to coming off the implants.

Luckily I shouldn't need to go on the pill again as dp has had the snip. He's going for his check this week...so fingers crossed the fishies are no longer swimming

I've come off the pill early as had bloating and weight gain. This is ten times worse but it'll pass.

I'll get the canoe out of the shed then eh?

Dp will whack the dr in the bollocks if he's still fertile....it was painful. Something to do with dp having shorter tubes than average?

Thankfully I'm not ratty with this pmt, think that's down to the starflower. I've noticed a difference in my ratty levels since I started on that.

Good. Now if you can only tell me what in god's name you said to your DP to persuade him to get done so I can get mine done, I can stop buying anonymous housebricks and sleeping pills from ebay ready for midnight op!

He offered! He's 53 and we both don't want any more kids. His dd is 21 and mine are 11 and 8.

Exdh didn't have it done but as we only had sex when there was an eclipse it wasn't a huge problem Still friendly with him though but needless to say he didn't meet anyone else and isn't intending to.

Dp said if it failed he'd do it again. He's ALL man...

Urgh cerazette almost ruined my life! It made me so depressed I stopped going to uni or even leaving my room except to walk to tesco in pyjamas and buy more gin. I felt fantastic when I stopped taking it! I did get pregnant immediately... But that was even more fantastic.

I came off anti ds a couple of months back, was on them for panic disorder.

Hope you'll be ok candyfluff, I'm sure you will.

why are you scared loopylou6? Is it the withdrawal effects? Are you ok on the pill? I wasn't so I guess that's why I'm not doing so good.

I came of Cerazette 2 weeks ago and was suffering from complete lack of libido. One week on I'm even eyeing up the milkman! Stopping can have just as overwhelming side affects as being on it. Hope I simmer down soon. Can't take the tension!
