tonsillitis - is it infectious?

Have you got the vomiting bug too? Sounds awful for you. My eyes look like piss holes and are really stinging, but I don't want to swap you.

No apparently puking can be a symptom of tonsillitis. Keep throwing up tabs. and anything i drink. so not sure how to get temp down.

Ironically after posting about our experiences, DS1 had a horrendous temperature yesterday which finally went down at about 5am this morning to be replaced by a sore throat.

Investigations armed with a torch show pusy tonsils so we are off to the docs in a minute.

We (well DS1 anyway and me only because I didn't get much sleep last night) share your pain!

God, its grim isn't it? I had 5 bouts over a year ago (all with loads of pus etc), and then pneumonia. It turened out it was Strep A which had then gone to my chest. Get them to take a swab if it comes back. Manuka honey (as strong as possible) is good. Loads of fluids, and maximum available dosages of paracetomal and ibuprofen for temp/pain.
