Half my tooth fell out last night at a posh dinner, and I swallowed it by accident, and it really put me off the dinner, chewing, and food. I am now scared of eating until I get to the dentists on Monday, as there was nothing apparently wrong with the tooth so am scared it will happen again, but hate soup-what could I have for tea? I am SOO hungry!

Yoghurt with stewed fruit?

Pawslikepaddington · 21/02/2009 18:12

Ooh, eggs in toast rolls! And yoghurt and stewed fruit sounds good too! I just don't want anything with a crunch ir bits in, as they would make me shudder!!

It's very unlikely that another one is going to choose to fall apart right after that one. I imagine it had a crack or weakness in it and you just didn't notice.

I know what you mean though about having the fear. my front two were very weak and breaking off bit by bit some years ago - I hated eating anything you had to bite into, I just used the side ones to bite - which was difficult! Now have crowns and is fine.

You could have some sort of sauce (like cheese or pasta sauce) with bread soaked in it for tea?

I really have the taste for eggs now-I want eggs!!

When I was a child and not well, Mum used to give us soup (heinz) and mashed potato. It was lovely.
