DH has a outpatient check-up at Papworth tomorrow

I take him as if he has tests he can't drive home (2hours drive)

I have had a D&V bug last episode was at 1pm today

Should I go?

Should I phone them tomorrow am to ask?

I would phone and ask, in your shoes. You might be OK, but it's best to be safe.

I would definitely ring to check.

Most hospitals state 48 hours symptom free for their staff to return to work after d+v

psychomum5 · 16/02/2009 22:09

our hospital has posters up all over stating that if you have had D&V/DorV in the last 72hrs, then to stay away.

KatyMac · 16/02/2009 22:12

I will phone

Poor DH - I wonder how long he will have t wait for another appointment

do you have to go in with him???

you can still drive him, just then wait outside.

KatyMac · 16/02/2009 22:15

Hmm - yes

I'll be well cold but I can take a book

Is he infectious/infected I wonder?

There's a nice little cafe close to the hospital if that helps?

And yes, he could be infected.

I didn't go

I am so tired, I can barely stand.

I got up & had a bath then slept for another hour

There is no way I could manage the 2 hrs each way - even if I wasn't driving

DH has said he will ask them to write anything important down or to ring me during the appointment if they need him to remember anything - I hope they don't mind.

He has agreed to have a proper meal and some hot chocolate before diving back - even if he doesn't feel like it (he isn't good when they take blood )

I hope it goes OK
